MAINTENANCE ENGINEER NIGHTS ONLY 4 ON 4 OFF 7AM -PM *Exclusive Opportunity** Our Client a well-established leading FM Company are offering a Full Time Permanent opportunity for a MAINTENANCNE ENGINEER Working within the Landlord Side of the retail areas in a The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various types of equipment. This role requires excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers. The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.very well-known shopping centre in Canary Wharf. Duties/Responsibilities * Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment * Identifying faults and carrying out repairs to electrical equipment and systems * Carrying out electrical installation work in accordance with regulations * Maintaining accurate records of work carried out. * Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Qualifications and person Requirements · Full time apprenticeship in an electrical or Building Services HVAC discipline complete with City & Guilds 236 part 1 & 2 certification or NVQ Level 3. · Mechanical apprenticeship would be acceptable with relevant electrical experience. · Previous experience working in a modern building services maintenance environment, and able to demonstrate basic understanding of HVAC and building services. · It would be highly desirable for the candidate to have completed the requirements for Electrical Installation (BS7671:2018) IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition through an approved course. * Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation and /or Maintenance Inspection and Testing, such as, City&Guilds 2391, 2394, 2395 and/or the EAL Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification Qualification. * 18th Edition of BS7671. * Technical expertise, qualifications or apprenticeship in a craft skill or engineering discipline would be an important pre-requisite of the role. * Knowledge of key operational procedures e.g. time sheets, planned maintenance systems, Quality and Health & Safety. * Substantial operational and technical experience with demonstrated potential. * Experience of positively dealing with the resolution of customer problems within specific contracts. The post holder will work with a small team of maintenance staff on a rotating day shift rota. They will carry out planned maintenance tasks and varied unscheduled work. What We Require of You: To have an enthusiastic and positive attitude. The post holder is required to be tidy and presentable at all times. Be able to work as a team member and to communicate effectively at all levels. To be customer focused and diplomatic in their approach. Able to make decisions to the benefit of the business. Although full training will be given and all safety equipment supplied it may be essential (for some Maintenance Operator posts) that applicants are able to work at heights outdoors. Duties * Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers and schematics. * Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications. * Supervise maintenance staff and provide guidance on best practices. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. * Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improve operational efficiency. * Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and inquiries. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
