Required from 1st September 2026 - A permanent Cover Supervisor (Term Time Only) NJC Grade 8 32.5 hours per week (+ 2 days worked during periods of school closure). We are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and high-performing team on a permanent, full-time basis. The post will involve covering for absent colleagues and playing a full part in the day-to-day life of the school by supporting students inside and outside the classroom.
This role will increase the size of our cover supervision team; you will be working alongside excellent colleagues and supportive managers. The Elton High School is a significantly oversubscribed school with a tradition of excellence. We have a history of high achievement with results regularly placing us amongst the highest performing schools in Bury LA and amongst the top proportion of schools in the country.
The successful applicant will be part of a fantastic departmental team, wholly supportive and collaborative, who generate outstanding teaching and learning practice. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (February 2026) reiterated the strengths that had been confirmed in the previous reports. The inspection team noted that “Pupils describe feeling happy, safe and proud of their school.” Our students achieve well, with the inspectors being particularly impressed with relationships between students and staff, describing them as “warm, respectful and trusting.”
