The Falconbrook, Battersea £47,000–£50,000 per year + Bonus Scheme + Service Charge. At Portobello Pubs and Bars, we're a growing pub company with ambitious plans for the future. We believe great pubs are built by great people, giving every venue the opportunity to become a genuine part of its local community. The Falconbrook is our newest addition to the family. It's a beautiful premium pub with an outstanding food offer, welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces, and everything you would expect from a modern community pub. We're now looking for a General Manager who can help shape its next chapter.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong teams, loves hospitality and understands what makes a community pub thrive. You’ll already have experience leading a successful food‑led business and be confident running a busy operation. Just as importantly, you’ll know how to bring people with you. You’ll create an environment where your team feel listened to, customers feel genuinely welcome, and the pub continues to grow because people want to come back again and again.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Strong experience managing a quality food‑led operation.
- A proven track record of leading, developing and motivating large teams.
- A genuine interest in becoming part of the local community and helping the business grow beyond its four walls.
- Commercial awareness with the confidence to grow sales while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- High standards, attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to leadership.
In return, you'll be joining a business built on three simple values: Honesty, Integrity and Fairness. They guide how we support our teams, work with one another and make decisions every day. You'll also be backed by an experienced operations team who are committed to helping you and your pub succeed.
What you'll receive:
- £47,000–£50,000 salary.
- Performance‑related bonus scheme.
- Service charge on top of your salary.
- 50% discount on food and drinks across all Portobello Pubs and Bars.
- £50 birthday bar tab.
- Ongoing training and development through the Portobello Training Academy.
- The opportunity to lead one of the most exciting pubs in our growing collection.
Before you apply, we'd really encourage you to visit The Falconbrook. Spend some time in the pub, enjoy the food and hospitality, chat to the team and get a feel for what makes it special. We want to hear from people who can see the opportunity here and are excited about what this pub can become as much as what it already is. If you're invited to interview, we'll expect you to have visited the venue and be ready to talk about your experience, what impressed you and where you think there's potential for further growth.
If you're ready to lead one of Battersea's most exciting pubs and help write the next chapter in The Falconbrook's story, we'd love to hear from you.
