The Headmaster and CEO of Eltham College Family of Schools seeks to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to work as part of a team responsible for supervising the dining hall to ensure that Junior and Senior School students can access lunches in a safe and orderly manner.
Main Duties
- Ensure students enter the dining room safely and orderly, and behave appropriately when queueing for their meal.
- Remind students to observe proper hygiene procedures, including using hand sanitizer upon entering the hall.
- Ensure students eating meals are seated in an orderly fashion, utilise the relevant behaviour sanctions system or flag behavioural concerns to an appropriate member of staff.
- Assist the catering team to ensure the correct number of chairs and sufficient settings for the number of students eating that day.
- Re‑fill water jugs, attend to spillages and maintain sufficient cutlery stocks.
- Inform facilities if a student has been ill and take affected areas out of use.
- Assist students as necessary to ensure their well‑being and health and safety.
- Ensure the dining area is wiped down and left clean and tidy for the next sitting.
- Supervise other areas used by students during lunch times as required (e.g., outside).
- Attend INSED and other training relevant to the role.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests in line with the broad responsibilities of the role.
