We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and calibration of wireless environmental monitoring systems. You will work with cutting-edge IoT and telemetry solutions, combining hands-on fieldwork with office-based technical preparation and remote support.
This is a customer-facing position requiring regular travel across the UK and Ireland. At Eltek, we design and manufacture specialist environmental monitoring and data logging systems used to protect critical environments and sensitive assets. For over 40 years, our technology has supported customers across sectors such as laboratories, healthcare, archives, and heritage—helping them monitor, understand, and control environmental conditions with accuracy and reliability.
We are a UK-based engineering company with a strong technical foundation and a focus on quality, innovation, and practical customer support. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to help deliver, maintain, and support our systems across the UK and Ireland.
Installation & Commissioning- Install, commission, and validate wireless environmental monitoring systems at customer sites
- Configure and prepare hardware for deployment
- Set up gateway devices and configure associated cloud software platforms
- Conduct wireless site surveys and provide deployment recommendations
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks
- Maintain accurate service, calibration, and maintenance records
- Monitor cloud-hosted systems and live customer installations
- Manage and respond to customer support requests via email and ticketing systems
- Investigate system alerts and faults for monitored services
- Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
- Deliver on-site and remote customer training sessions
- Provide technical consultancy, system health checks, and professional services as required
Experience in a field service, technical support, instrumentation, or engineering role
Good understanding of IT networks and connected devices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK & Ireland
Experience with wireless monitoring, telemetry, or IoT systems
Experience calibrating environmental monitoring equipment
Experience delivering technical training to customers
