Over the past decade, we have built a reputation for delivering measurable impact, moving beyond general consulting to offer targeted, AI-powered solutions that drive operational efficiency and a clear return on investment. Our workplace prioritises impact, drive, and openness, valuing outcomes over hours and agility over rigid processes.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our team on an 18-month fixed term contract and help us shape the future of enterprise productivity and product development. As the role begins as maternity cover, with a high probability of turning perm, we do require a May start date.

The role

As a Principal Product Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and organisations looking to become the most productive version of themselves. You'll bridge strategic vision with hands-on delivery, cultivating meaningful relationships across product, design, and engineering whilst expanding Elsewhen's market presence. You will split your time between client and new business development (c.80%) and people management (c.20%).

Role requirements

  • Client and Business Development
    • Lead end-to-end consulting engagements and product development from strategy to delivery across multiple industries, primarily focussed on AI Adoption, Agentic development and business transformation.
    • Cultivate meaningful relationships with client stakeholders, bridging technical and business needs.
    • Drive a product mindset and own the overall product development lifecycle, utilising lean and agile approaches to identify, conceptualise, and pilot new products with sustainable business models.
    • Leverage data and AI to improve understanding and validation of user needs, product performance, and value created for customers.
    • Be heavily involved in pre-sales activities: creating proposals and pitches, shaping engagements, and educating clients and colleagues about service value.
  • Thought leadership & Internal impact
    • Support the Director of Product as a senior member of the team, by guiding and supporting other team members.
    • Create points of view and case studies through insights on client needs and solutions.
    • Represent Elsewhen at meetups, product events, and industry forums.
    • Support OKRs for the product team and optimise internal processes.
    • Explore new technical fields and innovation opportunities.

Key skills

  • 10+ years of product management experience, of which at least 4 years in a client-facing role (consultancy / agency experience).
  • Beneficial: Experience working with/within the UK Public Sector.
  • Experience using a stack of GenAI tools for creating and vibe-coding product concepts, PoC and delivering measurable productivity gains.
  • Proven experience managing teams and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team - this role is part hands on part leadership.
  • Expertise in developing new revenue streams, leading ideas from concept to launch and scale, including go-to-market strategy.
  • Skilled at building relationships with C-suite executives and confident driving conversations at the intersection of technology and business.
  • Strong interpersonal skills — active listening, persuading, empathising with others, and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Confidence in dealing with ambiguity to establish the best path forwards.
  • Varied industry experience, with depth in Public Sector, FS or AI preferred.

Benefits

  • Private Health Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for both physical and mental health.
  • Flexible and Remote-First Work Environment: Choose how and where you work, with the option for weekly team meet-ups in central London.
  • Generous Leave Policy: 27 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Family-friendly policies, including enhanced maternity, paternity and shared leave.
  • Learning and Development: Individual annual budget of £2,000 for learning and development, with dedicated learning days.
  • Feel Better Fund: £500 to help set up your remote office.
  • Social Events: Monthly and quarterly team events, an annual team trip, and half-yearly social events.
  • Gym Membership Contribution: Support for maintaining your physical health.
  • Pension Contribution: Enhanced employer pension contribution of 6%.
