About the Role
We are looking for a senior, multi-disciplinary digital designer to join a fast‑paced, dynamic, global marketing group. Design is visual storytelling for us, so you’ll need the talent to transform our brand identity into marketing assets that engage visually and emotionally. The role requires the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and follow corporate guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Create inspiring, strategic, and innovative campaign ideas that work online and offline.
- Visualise and create concepts, giving direction on photography style, imagery, typography, and iconography.
- Act as a brand ambassador to ensure designs follow our brand identity guidelines, maintaining consistency and compliance across our work.
- Manage creative production through our design workflow system, Monday.com.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to determine objectives, background information, budget, design approaches, styles and techniques.
- Transform complex data into compelling visualisations for social/digital media, supporting our global marketing campaigns.
- Build interactive editorial content and supporting assets for our thought leadership programmes.
- Partner with our global Events team, providing creative direction for in‑person and virtual events.
- Work closely with Product to visually articulate how the Elsevier product suite helps solve our customers\’ challenges.
- Collaborate with the Creative team, sharing ideas, best practices, problem‑solving, and participating in developing project briefs.
- Show your knowledge and thirst to investigate, innovate, and develop trends with an emphasis on digital.
Requirements
- Minimum five years’ experience in a senior graphic/digital design role.
- Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Degree (or equivalent) in graphic/digital design or related discipline.
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo‑editing software.
- Experience in video editing/animation (advantageous, not essential).
- An interest in the latest digital technologies, software, and growing trends in the creative industry.
