About The Role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in developing and executing strategies to increase SSRN's visibility, recognition, and influence.
  • Build, manage, and grow strategic partnerships with funders, industry bodies, and key organisations including society publishers.
  • Contribute to SSRN's positioning as a trusted and recommended preprint server.
  • Contribute to internal strategic projects to improve workflows, standards, and best practices.
  • Support high-impact initiatives, including AI-led projects and policy implementation.
  • Work cross-functionally to improve discoverability and indexing (e.g. PubMed, Web of Science).
  • Support the Director in identifying and progressing opportunities for global expansion, particularly in China and India.
  • Liaise with analytics and processing teams to inform strategic decisions and progress.

Requirements

  • Experience in scholarly publishing or preprints.
  • Strong understanding of policy, funder requirements, and the research ecosystem.
  • Ability to build partnerships and influence external stakeholders.
  • Experience contributing to strategic and cross-functional projects.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable driving initiatives independently.
