About our Team

A&G, STMJ Technology is a global technology team responsible for delivering and evolving the products, platforms and capabilities that support our research and academic business and customers. Within this environment, the TechX function sits as part of the A&G, STMJ Technology team and plays a key role in connecting strategic priorities with practical delivery, helping teams align on ways of working, communicate consistently, and adopt agreed approaches effectively. The team collaborates closely with leaders and delivery groups across the organisation to support engagement, embed best practice, and ensure that change translates into clear action and measurable outcomes. As organisational needs continue to evolve, this role will help strengthen A&G, STMJ Technology’s ability to lead change, improve engagement and support adoption at scale.

About the Role

As the Change & Engagement Manager, you will define, lead and be accountable for how change is delivered across A&G, STMJ Technology, driving large-scale change, communication and engagement initiatives that support strategic priorities and deliver measurable adoption, readiness and organisational impact. Working as part of TechX and in close partnership with the Senior Director, Technology Optimisation, you will translate strategy into clear messaging, aligned execution and practical adoption plans, ensuring change is understood, adopted, sustained and delivers measurable outcomes. You will build, embed and continuously evolve a scalable operating model across change, communications and community, driving consistency, effectiveness and measurable impact. Acting as a strategic partner to the A&G Technology Leadership Team, you will connect people, ideas and priorities across boundaries, establish consistent rhythms, and improve engagement and productivity to create a more aligned and change-ready organisation. This role is suited to someone who can lead through influence, connect people and ideas across organisational boundaries, and use insight, communication and structured change practices to improve engagement, productivity and clarity. The role will also drive learning initiatives and community building rhythms that strengthen the effectiveness of A&G, STMJ Technology and the wider TechX network.

Requirements

  • Organisation‑wide change and engagement experience within a technology environment, with responsibility for communications and adoption at scale.
  • Proven ability to lead large‑scale change that delivers measurable improvements in ways of working, effectiveness, and adoption across distributed teams.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder partnering skills, including the ability to operate without formal authority and build trust quickly with senior leaders and technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to translate complex technology or strategy into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgement, with resilience and adaptability when navigating ambiguity, resistance, and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own and embed a standard change and engagement operating model aligned to technology ways of working.
  • Drive organisation‑wide change and engagement, translating strategy into clear messaging and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner closely with senior technology leadership to shape and deliver effective change and communications strategies.
  • Lead quarterly change and communications planning, defining priorities, ownership, readiness and adoption metrics.
  • Set and enforce change readiness and adoption standards across all priority initiatives.
  • Drive accountability for adoption and engagement outcomes, including readiness, uptake and communication effectiveness.
  • Build a data‑driven engagement capability, using insight to track impact and improve effectiveness.
  • Embed change and engagement into governance and planning forums to support prioritisation and decisions.
  • Provide senior leaders with clear visibility of progress, risks, engagement and adoption performance.
