The Senior Director of Segment Marketing is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving growth within a priority customer segment. Reporting to the VP, Academic Leader and Funder Audience Marketing, this role defines the global segment marketing vision and ensures execution aligns with business and revenue goals.
You will lead the development and execution of global segment growth strategies that directly impact marketing-sourced bookings and overall sales growth. Leading a dedicated team, you will translate market insights and positioning into actionable go-to-market plans, delivering compelling, persona-driven messaging, campaigns, and sales enablement that support the full buying journey. This role requires a seasoned B2B marketing leader with strong executive presence, a collaborative mindset, and a proven track record of delivering results in a global, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities- Drive segment growth in support of A&Gβs growth ambition
- Define and execute global segment marketing and GTM strategies
- Translate positioning and insights into high-impact programs, campaigns, and sales enablement
- Own persona-based messaging, value propositions, and sales enablement frameworks
- Prioritise segment opportunities and align resources to highest-growth initiatives
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, Field Marketing, Strategy, and Comms
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing segment marketing team
- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership
- Proven success driving marketing-sourced pipeline and bookings
- Experience enabling sales teams with clear messaging, assets, and GTM guidance
- Deep expertise in segmentation, persona-based marketing, and complex buyer journeys
- Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
