Overview
In this role, you will help shape and accelerate the growth of Cell Press Blue, a premier open-access journal within the Cell Press portfolio. You will serve as a key liaison with sister journals, develop editorial initiatives, and help attract influential submissions by building a network of leading researchers. Expect travel to conferences and institutes as you support the broader research ecosystem. This is a high-impact editorial leadership position in a multidisciplinary, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop partnerships with other Cell Press editorial teams and production/marketing/press colleagues
- Undertake editorial evaluation of submissions to ensure quality and value
- Develop a broad, cohesive, and high-impact journal narrative
- Build and leverage a network of leading researchers to attract influential submissions
- Travel to relevant conferences and research institutes to represent the journal
- Support the wider research ecosystem at Cell Press
Key requirements
- Proven research expertise in physical science
- Networking and communication skills for national and international researchers
- Ability to think conceptually and critically about scientific issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Background in material science is beneficial but not essential
