Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive risk evaluations for pioneering space initiatives: scrutinize satellite architectures, launch paths, payload details, and evolving hazards (e.g., space weather, impacts) via ATOM tools for pricing, wording, and exposure strategies.
• Partner worldwide with engineers, lawyers, bankers, and data experts to craft innovative insurance products that reduce risks and draw investments for constellations, tourism, and deep-space endeavors.
• Advance claims processes: actively assess failures, compute losses, and deliver rapid settlements to foster ecosystem trust and durability.
• Develop proprietary databases and AI frameworks merging engineering insights, environmental data, and market intel for risk forecasting and aversion.
• Promote elseco at global conferences, roadshows, and alliances (e.g., with MIT, Khalifa University, or LeoLabs for debris monitoring), creating thought-leadership content to influence the sector.
• Fuel strategic expansion: from instant underwriting flows to novel offerings like constellation catastrophe protections, position us as the essential ally for space enterprises globally.

Who We’re Seeking: The World’s Top Talent

• Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or allied fields; 8+ years in space-linked roles (e.g., satellite engineering, tech venture banking, space law, or insurance underwriting).
• Interdisciplinary mastery: fuse technical prowess (e.g., payload systems, orbital dynamics) with financial, legal, or analytic skills for holistic risk comprehension and underwriting.
• Intellectual force: inquisitive, analytical, inventive, with zeal for galactic challenges, evidenced by publications, initiatives, or high-impact feats.
