- Storing goods in/removing them from the central warehouse or logistics-guided storage locations as specified, and ensuring they are provided on time for the next process step.
- Transporting goods internally within the company to supply Production with, and dispose of, raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, empties and packaging material as specified by the CU/BU and plant.
- Carrying out special transport tasks internally within the company using the forklift truck (e.g. tools).
- Implementing and complying with internal specifications governing material transfers between SAP MM and SAP WM-guided storage locations.
- Correctly disposing of scrap as per (environmental) guidelines.
- Logging any discrepancies in quantities in the system for goods returned to stock from Production by counting/weighing them.
- Carrying out inventory checks and actively participating in the inventory count at logistics-guided storage locations using a defined methodology in SAP as well as the available resources.
- Ensuring compliance with the storage strategy as per FIFO.
- Checking goods from Production for any clearly identifiable damage, labelling errors or incorrect packaging.
- Informing the Manager in the event of any errors or unclear process steps.
- Actively participating in providing continuous improvements and solutions to problems within the assigned area, and initiating the relevant measures.
