Being a start-up, my client is constantly growing at a fast pace, and the successful candidate will likely have a comprehensive exposure to all aspects of running a business, from financial products, dealing, operations to compliance and regulatory responsibilities. The candidate can expect no two days to be the same, as they work on client cases that are at different stages of their overall wealth planning, projects that are of varying nature, and connect with external partners who are from different sectors and have their own USPs.
-Execution trading covering mainly Development Markets equities & bonds, and some Emerging Markets securities
-Utilise various trade order types to achieve best execution
-Working with custodians and brokers to liaise for trade placing and obtain data for transaction reporting
-Work with investment personnel on the lifecycle of running a portfolio, including performing stock/fund research, trade execution, performance monitoring and reporting
-Assist client advisors with client specific tasks including conducting client fact find, account opening, performance reporting, taking meeting minutes, and ad hoc problem solving
-Work with various third parties (e.g. fund administrator, lawyers) to meet internal operational requirements
-Ad-hoc compliance and regulatory tasks, with the guidance from MLRO and external Regulatory Consultant
Requirements
-Prior experience of working on the trading floor and being involved in live trading
-Must have great attention to details and be sensitive to financial market movements
-Ability to digest information, take instructions, ask questions, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
-Display an inquisitive nature and possess sound problem solving skills
-Key qualities include: trustworthy, reliable, tenacious, resilient, and thorough
-Tertiary educated, Chinese Mandarin speaking preferred
