We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head of Compliance.
- Provide training to staff on compliance matters.
- Manage actual and potential conflicts of interests.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory developments and ensure compliance with SMF16/17 obligations.
- Money Laundering Reporting Officer function:
- Assessing and approving client onboarding.
- Reporting any suspicious activity or transaction.
- Overseeing and ensuring the implementation of up-to-date AML/CTF policies and procedures.
- Responding to requests for information from the FCA and other regulators and law enforcement agencies, or clients relating to a regulator or law enforcement agency request.
- Conducting an annual money laundering risk assessment in relation to the company's business.
- Ensure regular training for staff on anti-money laundering.
- Report on at least an annual basis to the firm's governing body on the operation and effectiveness of the firm's anti-money laundering systems and controls.
Requirements:
- Proven exposure to Compliance and Risk functions within Financial Institutions.
- Capability as a responsible leader, with strong technical knowledge and an analytical and strategic mind.
- Experience in Alternative Investment Asset Classes and Fund operations.
- Experience with oversight of distribution compliance and governance, including assessing and suitability of investors at both professional and below professional level.
- Confidence in being part of and interacting with other members of senior management across the organisation.
- Advanced stakeholder management experience, including experience of dealing with regulators and other external bodies.
- Detailed knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly SMF16/17 requirements.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills, and attention to detail.
