We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head of Compliance to:
- Provide training to staff on compliance matters
- Manage actual and potential conflicts of interests
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory developments and ensure compliance with SM16/17 obligations
- Assess and approve client onboarding as part of the SMF17 β Money Laundering Reporting Officer function
- Report any suspicious activity or transaction
- Oversee and ensure the implementation of up-to-date AML/CTF policies and procedures
- Respond to requests for information from the FCA and other regulators and law enforcement agencies, or clients relating to a regulator or law enforcement agency request
- Conduct an annual money laundering risk assessment in relation to the company's business
- Ensure regular training for staff on anti-money laundering
- Report on at least an annual basis to the firm's governing body on the operation and effectiveness of the firm's anti-money laundering systems and controls
Requirements:
- Proven exposure to Compliance and Risk functions within Financial Institutions
- Capability as a responsible leader, with strong technical knowledge and an analytical and strategic mind
- Experience in Alternative Investment Asset Classes and Fund operations
- Experience with oversight of distribution compliance and governance, including assessing and suitability of investors at both professional and below professional level
- Confidence in being part of and interacting with other members of senior management across the organisation
- Advanced stakeholder management experience, including experience of dealing with regulators and other external bodies
- Detailed knowledge of FCA regulations, particularly SM16/17 requirements
- Excellent organisation and communication skills, and attention to detail
