The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing a robust business model for both fossil jet fuel (JET) and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) within the Company.
This multifaceted role involves deal structuring, contract management, end-to-end operations oversight, certification navigation, and driving business development, procurement, and client relations.
Additionally, the role serves as a key support to the headquarters (HQ), providing insights into supply chain investments, industry trends, and business projections.
Key Responsibilities
- Forge and solidify deal structures to ensure a resilient supply chain for JET and SAF trading and supply.
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy aligned with the Company's overarching goals.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of JET and SAF deals for seamless operations and optimized profitability.
- Cultivate and manage networks for JET and SAF procurement and sales, strengthening the Company's market position.
- Spearhead the acquisition and maintenance of JET and SAF qualifications and certifications, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and enrichment within the Company's JET and SAF ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the HQ manager in arbitrage trading and prudent hedging of neat cargo.
- Identify investment prospects within upstream resources and supply chains to fortify the Company's foothold in JET and SAF in the European region.
- Provide substantial support to the Management and BD Team in advancing strategic investment initiatives.
- Assume accountability for procurement, blending, and the orchestration of logistics.
- Serve as a backup for the Aviation Marketing Manager in aviation tenders, showcasing versatility and expertise.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Profound familiarity with SAF is a plus, but not necessary.
- Hands-on experience in SAF operations OR at least 3 years' experience in trading middle distillation products.
- Basic hedging experience is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry and its evolving landscape.
- Track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
