Hours of Work: 36 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 07:30–15:45, Friday 07:30–12:30)
Responsibilities:
- Operate specialist plant to support road maintenance and community projects.
- This includes operating gully vehicles and other equipment such as pavers, planers, 180/360/Pothole Pro, mechanical chipper, heavy roller, C+E low loader and screed truck as required.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- SVQ Level 3 in Civil Engineering Technologies/Highways Maintenance or equivalent, or a relevant HNC qualification with extensive post‑qualification experience in road maintenance.
- Confidence in operating specialist plant and carrying out tasks outlined in the main duties section.
- Full clean HGV Class C driving licence.
- SVQ Level 2 module in winter maintenance.
Salary: Minimum annual salary: £31,445.76 (based on 36 hours over 52 weeks). Overtime and winter maintenance on‑call offer potential earnings in excess of £40,000 per annum.
