Position Title: Statutory Meeting Co-ordinator
Directorate: Children, Young People and Partnerships
Location: Eskdaill Court
Contract Status: Fixed Term until 31/01/2027
Hours of Work: 18 hours per week
Working Pattern: 3 days x 6 hours (to be determined with successful candidate the days they will work)
Weeks per year: 52
Salary: Please note that Midlothian Council is appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Based on 18 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £14,793.03 per annum.
Essential- Educational: The Jobholder requires a minimum qualification to HNC/ SVQ3 level in business studies, office management or administration or an acceptable equivalent qualification and/or extensive demonstrative experience to this level in one of the identified disciplines would be an acceptable alternative.
- Experience: To be competent in the role the Jobholder must have good interpersonal skills and knowledge of the various systems and software including Microsoft packages. S/he must also have previous experience of working to strict deadlines, co-ordinating and taking minutes and producing complex documents. S/he must also be able to type at speed.
- An understanding of the services the Council provides to the community and the relevant regulatory frameworks associated with this would also be desirable.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by you.
Please note that Disclosure Scotland has changed the way PVG certificates are issued. You will be notified by email from Disclosure Scotland that your certificate is available to view. Once you have viewed your certificate you will be allowed to share this with your employer and it is only available for 14 days from the first day you have viewed the certificate. If you do not grant access to Midlothian Council to view before access is removed, a further application will need to be generated, and this will incur an additional cost.
