Learning Disability Personal Support Assistant & Community Travel Companion
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and trustworthy personal support assistant to assist an engaging 22-year-old female student with a learning disability. This role focuses on assisting her to college, promoting her independence, building her confidence in public spaces, and planning active and accessible activities.

Hours per week: 15.0
Core Responsibilities
- Travel Training & Support: Accompany the young woman on public buses to and from her college two days a week. You will help her learn the route, read timetables, handle bus fares/passes, and develop road safety awareness.
- Activity Planning: Collaborate with her one day a week to research, plan, and enjoy a day trip or social activity (e.g., visiting a café, museum, cinema, arcade, mini golf, shopping centre or local park).
- Safety & Well-being: Provide a reassuring, safe environment, ensuring she is protected from vulnerability while out in public.
- Confidence Building: Encourage her to speak for herself (e.g., ordering her own food or buying her own tickets) to grow her social skills.
