Elmya is looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a utility-scale solar PV project in the UK.
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate and supervise mechanical construction works, including racking systems, trackers and mounting structures.
- Manage mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and project procedures.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions when required.
- Oversee quality control of mechanical installations.
- Review technical documentation and coordinate with engineering teams.
- Manage material deliveries and mechanical logistics on site.
- Prepare progress reports and support project reporting activities.
- Assist during commissioning and punch list closure.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, ideally within utility-scale solar, renewable energy or industrial projects.
- Strong experience managing subcontractors and mechanical site activities.
- Knowledge of PV mounting systems, trackers and mechanical installation processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
