About the Team

Our People, Safety and Culture team partners across the organisation to design, develop and implement strategies that attract, engage and develop our employees and volunteers. Together, we build a high-performing culture with a strong focus on safety and wellbeing.

About the Role

This is a true generalist role, reporting to the General Manager People, Safety and Culture, you will provide expert advice and support to managers and staff across the full employee lifecycle. Working closely with the People, Safety and Culture team, you will deliver an integrated HR service.

Key responsibilities include supporting recruitment and selection, advising on employee relations matters such as performance management, disputes and grievances, and interpreting awards and legislation. You will also lead the annual remuneration review, coordinate the Performance and Development cycle, HR/WHS and compliance training and employee surveys, prepare HR metrics and reporting, support payroll, and contribute to HR policies and improvement projects that drive excellence in leadership and people management.

Skills And Experiences

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources management (or a related field) and/or demonstrated experience in a HR generalist role
  • Knowledge and experience in recruitment processes and relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated experience applying employment legislation and interpreting a range of industrial instruments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with a high level of initiative and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once
  • Working knowledge of the HR information systems ELMO will be highly regarded and intermediate to advanced MS Office skills

The role is being offered as a 1 FTE or part time (0.9 FTE) position based at our Eastwood office. We can offer flexibility in times and days to be worked.
