Introduction

MannaCare is a community based not-for-profit organisation which supports older people living in the Eastern region. MannaCare provides and maintains a range of services, including Residential Aged Care and Community Care. Our Community Care services encompass Support@Home, FlexiCare, Home Maintenance Service, Community Respite & Social Support and Rehabilitation (DRS).

Doncaster Rehabilitation Services (DRS) provides allied health and therapy services that assist older people to regain or maintain physical, functional and cognitive abilities, thereby facilitating them to remain living in the community. Services include physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy and allied health assistance.


Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our DRS Service area, in a permanent Part Time position (22.5hours/week) with the potential to increase to full time capacity with developing caseload. Clients may be seen by the clinician individually or in a group setting, with services provided across our centres or in people's homes.


Skills And Experiences

You will need the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology and current full registration with ESSA.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Home Care and/or Aged Care settings, with the ability to independently manage a caseload while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive client assessments, including functional, strength, balance, and falls risk assessments, to inform individualised care plans and exercise interventions.
  • Strong skills in developing and implementing evidence-based exercise programs that promote independence, functional capacity, and achievement of individual goals.
  • Proven experience in planning and delivering hydrotherapy programs for the elderly population.
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A current Victorian Driver Licence and willingness to travel within the community.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, carers, and other health professionals.
  • Fluency in a language other than English will be highly regarded.
