The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‑term conservation.

About the role

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Finance Officer - Revenue to join our Finance team in Torquay. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Authority's accounting function, with a primary focus on revenue management, accounts receivable, reconciliations and month-end processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in accuracy, customer service and continuous improvement. As part of GORCAPA, you'll contribute to the stewardship of one of Victoria's most significant coastal and environmental assets while supporting the financial operations that underpin our organisation's success.

While this role is advertised as full-time, GORCAPA welcomes discussions with suitable candidates who may be seeking a flexible arrangement of 0.8 FTE across five days per week.

What you'll do

  • Reconcile bank accounts, including caravan park accounts, and compare transactions against RMS Cloud booking system records.
  • Process and monitor accounts receivable activities, ensuring payments are accurately recorded and allocated.
  • Raise invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide daily banking information and support to operational teams.
  • Process park refunds and ensure transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Complete month-end activities including journals, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve payment queries and discrepancies.
  • Maintain and improve financial procedures and documentation.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff regarding financial processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to audit requirements and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function.

Skills And Experiences

We're looking for a motivated and organised finance professional with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. To be successful, you will bring:

  • A qualification in Business, Finance or Accounting (preferred).
  • Experience in a finance, accounts receivable or revenue-focused role.
  • Strong reconciliation, financial processing and administration skills.
  • Experience using accounting software and financial systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a high-performing team.

Desirable:

  • Experience within an accommodation, tourism or hospitality environment.
  • Experience using RMS Cloud or similar booking systems.
