Elmlea Schools, part of the Russell Education Trust, is seeking to appoint a dedicated Site Officer or an aspiring Site Officer to join our team as soon as possible. This is a crucial role in supporting the Property Team to ensure the smooth running of the school site, including maintaining the security of the school and carrying out maintenance tasks to a high standard to ensure a safe working environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be flexible, dedicated and passionate about maintaining a safe working environment for students and staff.
  • Have strong DIY skills and be able to carry out physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and pushing equipment.
  • Be organised, able to multi-task and work closely with the Property Team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in a school environment.
  • Have good IT and administrative skills.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and share the school’s core values.

This is a permanent, full-time, all year-round position. The hours are from 10 or 10.30am daily until 6pm. Part-time options are available if you would like to specify on your application. The role includes five weeks of annual leave (plus public holidays); two weeks of this leave can be taken as single one-week periods in term time.
