Our departments work together to provide solutions that are integrated, avoiding conflict between design specifications, building regulation compliance, and energy requirements.

As a Sustainability Consultant at ERS, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of sustainability and Building Regulations assessments across the built environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out SAP & SBEM assessments for both new and existing developments
  • Produce Energy & Sustainability Statements for planning & compliance
  • Perform Dynamic Thermal Modelling to assess overheating & thermal comfort
  • Carry out daylight assessments
  • Undertake building surveys for EPCs, Energy audits, U‑Value calculations and PSI value calculations
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree qualified (or higher) in Engineering, Architecture, or a Built Environment discipline
  • Experience working with SAP or SBEM for compliance. At least 2 years prior experience in Sustainability
  • Experience in producing Energy & Sustainability statements for planning applications
  • Strong knowledge of CAD & IES or similar modelling software is essential
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently
  • A proactive, personable, and motivated individual with a flexible and resilient approach
  • Attending, organising & chairing meetings with wider project design team
  • Assist junior staff members
