Elmelin Limited is a manufacturer of high-performance electrical and thermal insulation materials, specialising in mica-based solutions for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. As part of its strategic diversification, the company has recently expanded into the EV automotive sector, developing advanced battery insulation solutions designed to mitigate thermal runaway.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail oriented Accountant to join our team, supporting the Financial Controller in driving business growth and delivering timely financial insights to support key decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full bookkeeping function (sales, purchases, journals, accruals, prepayments)
- Manage accounts receivable, including credit control and debtor management
- Oversee accounts payable and supplier payments
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis)
- Take ownership of month-end close process
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, including full reconciliation
- Manage and process payroll and related reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Maintain Fixed Asset register
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors
What We Looking For
- 4+ years experience in bookkeeping / accounting
- Strong experience in month-end close and management reporting
- Experience in Manufacturing environment would be added advantage
- AAT qualified or QBE
- Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently in SME environment
