We are currently looking for a Warehouse & Dispatch Assistant who will prepare orders and ensure that we ship correctly first time, ensuring that our customers receive the full and correct order and the outstanding service that Elmbridge pride ourselves on delivering.
Overview of the role: Work within our operations facility preparing orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring delivery of goods in line with our next day delivery commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Preparation: Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are accurate, complete and undamaged.
- Inventory Management: Support with regular stock checks, maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that goods are stored correctly and are accessible.
- Shipment: Load transportation with the correct goods for shipment.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Logistics and Communication: Communicate with internal departments and drivers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to all health & safety requirements and company policies; maintain a clean and organised warehouse in line with 5S principles and operate Forklift Trucks when needed.
Key Requirements:
- Current Forklift Licence for Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck is a must.
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and moving heavy objects (e.g. 20L cans of paint).
- The ability to maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing business using 5S principles is advantageous but not essential.
Working Hours: You will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday on site at our facility in Gloucester. 23 days holiday per year plus Bank & Public Holidays. Lunch provided 4 days per week. Fully stocked kitchens with tea and coffee.
