You’ll work autonomously in your local area, while being part of a supportive team and enabling a “team around me” approach with council services, health partners and community organisations. This is not a referral-driven or target-led role. It’s about walking alongside people, building on their strengths and supporting their vision of a good life.

This role may be for you if you:

  • enjoy working with people from all walks of life
  • are a good listener and communicator
  • are comfortable working independently while valuing teamwork
  • are motivated by making a positive difference in communities
  • bring experience from community work, health, care, housing, charities or through volunteering, caring or lived experience

At Elmbridge, you’ll be trusted to work proactively in your local area while being supported by a team that shares the same values. You’ll be part of a council that is changing how it works with communities, focusing on early support, prevention and partnership. This is a role where your work has a visible, lasting impact on people and places.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • flexible working, with a hybrid approach to support a healthy work–life balance
  • wellbeing support, including a programme designed to help you thrive
  • a generous benefits package, including an excellent pension, Thrive benefits, free parking at the Civic Centre, your birthday off, and additional time off between Christmas and New Year without using annual leave
