The Opportunity
Our client, a high-profile organisation in an issues rich sector is looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join the team. This person will play a crucial role in managing the company’s relationships with a range of stakeholders from Local Authorities, MPs, NGOs and regulators. This role is vital to ensure the reputation of the company is protected and enhanced, alongside ensuring that the company’s plans and priorities are clearly understood. This role is perfect for someone who is able to navigate a fast-moving political landscape and position the company well in a sector that is going through a period of change.
Main responsibilities
- Management of proactive and reactive engagement with key stakeholders and senior colleagues at both regional and national levels. Bringing external insight to help inform improvements in decision-making processes to enhance the company’s external reputation
- Identifying any opportunities to engage or reputational risks and ensuring internal plans are updated through constant monitoring of external policy environments / political landscape. Addressing and raising any issues or concerns to senior colleagues internally
- Work closely with colleagues across the wider business to enable them to manage engagement with varying levels of stakeholders including groups, councils and associations.

- Demonstrable expertise in relationship management to work with colleagues across the business and external stakeholders with the ability to influence and persuade
- Experience developing strategic engagement plans for key stakeholders in line with company strategy
