As Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering our internal communications and engagement strategy and lead on the design and delivery of specific projects and campaigns. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement and working closely with the Online Internal Communications Officer, you will be responsible for providing editorial input and oversight across our main internal communications channels and helping to drive up levels of staff engagement.

You will also help embed solid internal communications processes which support the SMT's commitment to maintaining a two-way dialogue with staff and building an engaged and motivated internal working culture. This role has the responsibility of managing a new internal programme which will involve mapping internal audiences and providing timely, professional advice and support to the SMT and colleagues across the organisation as required.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Supporting and deputising the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement in the delivery of the strategy and playing a lead role in a number of the specific initiatives and campaigns within the forward plan.
  • Developing content for channels and corporate messages which will encourage employee engagement and help maintain a two-way dialogue.
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to provide advice on specific projects, initiatives, events and campaigns.
  • Having editorial oversight of all channels to make sure content reflects current priorities and encourages engagement.
  • Working with the Online Internal Communications Officer to ensure that all internal communications channels and initiatives are evaluated and impact is recorded in the monthly Internal Communications and Engagement dashboard.
  • Supporting HR to follow up on the staff survey findings and report on progress against the staff survey action plan.
