Ellwood Atfield is delighted to have partnered with a respected trade association who are looking for an Events Executive on a permanent basis. The organisation is renowned for working alongside Government and business leaders to provide insights and advice around securing investment opportunities in Asia. The organisation works closely with its members to help businesses influence policy, connect with decision-makers and identify opportunities for growth.

The trade association are looking for a proactive Events Executive with a strong eye for detail to play a key role in delivering high impact events across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in a fast-moving environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end event planning to create experiences for members which will help strengthen stakeholder and business relationships. This includes supporting the planning and delivery of notable events such as high-level roundtables, conferences, networking opportunities and seminars. The role incorporates the full life cycle of event co-ordination, including concept development, planning and logistics, as well as marketing support and follow-up engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of event concepts, timelines, budgets, and planning documents to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.
  • Coordinate venue bookings, supplier negotiations, and vendor contracts to secure cost-effective and high-quality event services.
  • Liaise with external partners to ensure all logistics including catering, equipment, and hospitality.
  • Oversee administrative tasks such as delegate registration, speaker coordination, and preparation of event materials and resources.
  • Provide onsite operational support to ensure events run smoothly and meet expected standards.
  • Assist with event communications, including drafting invitations, managing mailing lists, and supporting promotional activities.
  • Support post-event follow-up, including updates to systems, sending thank-you notes, and consolidating feedback from participants.
  • Contribute to post-event reporting and evaluations to improve future event delivery and impact.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and confident in engaging with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong resilience and time management skills; able to work proactively.
  • Proficient in Canva and Microsoft Office, whilst being comfortable with AI tools.

Salary banding £28,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience. Hybrid working arrangement – 3 days in the London office.
