Ellwood Atfield is partnering with a leading professional body to recruit a Lead Internal Communications Manager. This is an influential role at the intersection of culture, people, and communications, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged and aligned with the organisation’s strategy and values. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, brings structure and focus to complex organisations, and translates information into clear, purposeful communications. You will act as the organisational lead for internal communications, working closely with senior leaders and the People team to drive engagement, support change, and build a strong, informed internal culture across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy aligned to organisational priorities
  • Lead employee engagement activity, including all-staff events, leadership briefings, staff forums, and employee voice initiatives
  • Advise senior leaders on communications, culture, change, values, and people-related messaging
  • Oversee and improve internal communication channels, including the intranet, while creating clear, high-quality content
  • Use employee insight to shape communications, manage reputational risk, maintain the annual communications calendar, and line manage one team member

  • Proven experience developing and delivering internal communications strategies and campaigns
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages
