You will be working for a dynamic communication agency operating within the government sector as part of their housing team. You will be responsible for delivering strategic communications activities to support the delivery of the organisation\’s vision and to protect and enhance their reputation. Reporting to an Account Director and working as part of a small team, you will handle their reactive and proactive media relations and shall be working on the launch of a new campaign.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver significant, strategically focused media coverage and help generate content, stories and features for national and local media
  • To build and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders, providing innovative and solutions-focused communications advice
  • To provide reactive crisis support to protect corporate reputation as well as working closely with the wider communications team to ensure they are aligned in media positioning, monitoring, the positioning of spokespeople and management of external relationships
  • To support the wider team with out-of-hours media handling support
