We are partnering with a notable charity in the education sector to recruit an Executive Strategic Support Lead. We are seeking a proactive, highly organised and strategically minded professional to provide executive support to the CEO, while also contributing to organisation‑wide strategic projects. This is a 12‑month role at the heart of the organisation, combining executive support, external engagement coordination, and strategic delivery. The emphasis of the role will shift over time from external engagement preparation to greater focus on strategic development work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support organisational strategic development projects including business planning, impact frameworks, and cross‑organisational improvement initiatives.
- Provide executive support to the CEO and Deputy CEO team, including briefing packs, prioritisation, and coordination across SLT.
- Manage preparation and briefing for Deputy CEO external engagements including government, sector, and media activity.
- Coordinate inputs across teams to produce high‑quality briefings, reports, and decision documents.
- Support internal communications and leadership coordination across the organisation.
- Track and manage external engagement activity across systems and ensure follow‑up actions are delivered.
- Support effective decision‑making by synthesising complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Key Skills Required
- Experience supporting senior leaders (e.g. Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, Private Office, or senior operations role).
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities in fast‑paced, complex environments.
- Excellent written communication and briefing skills for senior audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across senior teams.
- Highly organised with experience managing board meetings, agendas, and action tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a delivery focus.
- Experience in government, public sector, charity, or mission‑driven organisations (desirable).
- High discretion, judgement, and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Ability to translate complexity into clear, practical outputs.
