38 Degrees produces mainstream, inclusive campaigning, democracy and community-building projects, events, and large-scale crowd-fundraising. 38 Degrees puts the power into people’s hands. It helps strengthen democracy by giving members new ways to be involved in politics. Members campaign at the national, devolved, and local levels, influencing politicians, statutory bodies, and businesses. Currently, there is a team of 35 based in London, Edinburgh, and Bristol. The company has an annual turnover of £6.5 million, with aims to double this in the next two years.
We are looking for an experienced Campaigns Director to lead and strengthen our team. You will be strategic, decisive, inspiring, and able to guide campaigners in devising and executing impactful campaigns. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with other Directors and the Board.
Main responsibilities:
- Leading large-scale, people-powered campaigns and providing organizational leadership
- Managing staff and major programs, overseeing campaign plans, developing partnerships, and supervising tactics both online and offline
- Contributing to organizational strategy
- Growing and engaging 38 Degrees’ membership
- Enhancing the organization’s reputation and increasing brand reach across media platforms
- Representing 38 Degrees publicly to the media
- Overseeing campaign content production across various media including email, blogs, videos, websites, adverts, and print
