We are seeking a skilled and reliable Repair and Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance, repair, and general upkeep services across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality finishes across a variety of tasks. This role requires someone who is proactive, efficient, and able to maintain the highest standards of service while ensuring the functionality and safety of the facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair duties including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and minor construction work.
- Quickly diagnosing and resolving minor facility-related issues such as electrical faults, plumbing leaks, and mechanical malfunctions.
- Ensuring all work is compliant and adheres to health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Working closely with other departments and external contractors to support business requirements.
- Regular stock management and keeping track of tools, materials, and supplies to ensure that necessary items are available for all jobs.
- Providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors by responding promptly to maintenance or facility requests and ensuring satisfactory completion.
- Maintaining detailed records of completed work, repairs, and maintenance schedules for future reference.
- Managing contractor management across all sites.
- Implementing and reviewing department SOPs and procedures for the control of facilities and plant.
- Providing out-of-hours cover for weekend and evening work to meet business requirements when needed.
- Participating in any on-call rota required to provide out-of-hours response and site attendance.
- Proven experience in a facilities maintenance or handyperson role.
- Broad knowledge of general maintenance areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and efficiently resolve problems, escalating issues as needed.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance requirements for facility management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple sites.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between sites.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate maintenance needs.
- Certification in electrical, plumbing, or another relevant field.
- Ability to use tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
- A clear understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Salary: circa £32,000 - £37,000 per annum + travel allowance + bonus.

Terms of Appointment:
- You must have the right to work permanently in the UK with a willingness to travel as necessary.
- You will live in, or within easy commuting distance of Oxford.
- Flexibility with hours may be required, including the ability to respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of regular working hours.
- This position requires travel to multiple sites across Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will be required onsite 5 days per week (Monday to Friday).
