Our client is a start-up which builds enterprise voice automation and conversational AI products, enabling businesses to scale intelligent inbound and outbound communication workflows with speed, reliability, and precision.
This is a full-time position at our Manchester office (or remotely with occasional visits to Manchester) for a Full-Stack Engineer specialising in Voice & Conversational AI. The role involves designing and developing scalable applications and web interfaces, ensuring seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing APIs
- Automating workflows in communication platforms
- Troubleshooting issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
The ideal candidate will contribute to creating intelligent systems that enhance customer engagement and improve business processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, with hands-on delivery across frontend and backend systems
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks, particularly Next.js and the React ecosystem
- Solid backend development experience using Python, including API design and scalable service architecture
- Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications on Azure
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including deployments and environment management
- Experience with real-time voice and conversational experiences, including audio streaming, low-latency systems, and voice-driven user interfaces
- Familiarity with integrating speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and conversational AI workflows into production systems
- Strong understanding of version control using Git, including collaborative workflows (PRs, branching strategies)
- Ability to design, build, and maintain secure, reliable, and performant systems end to end
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
- Knowledge of Kubernetes & Redis
- Full UK Driving License and own transport required for customer meetings within the UK (Essential)

- Recent graduate in a relevant subject at either BSc. or MSc.
- Experience with telephony, WebRTC, or real-time communication platforms
- Exposure to AI/LLM-powered applications and orchestration of AI services
