The FBT Logistics Operation team plays a key role in enabling the smooth execution of Fulfillment by TikTok across Europe. The team works closely with sellers, Business Development teams, Account Managers, Logistics Service Excellence teams, warehouses, and other cross‑functional partners to resolve operational issues, improve processes, and continuously optimize both seller and customer experience.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated FBT Logistics Operation Intern to support the daily operations of TikTok’s FBT logistics business. This internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to gain practical experience in e-commerce logistics operations, cross‑functional coordination, issue resolution, order management, data monitoring, and operational execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, resilient, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. You should be able to communicate clearly with different stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and follow through on issues until closure. You will gain practical skills through on‑the‑job learning in a fast‑paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a communication bridge between sellers, Business Development teams, seller Account Managers, Logistics Service Excellence teams, and internal operations teams.
- Understand frontline issues, coordinate relevant internal owners to seek solutions, and provide timely feedback to business stakeholders.
- Use internal systems such as OMS and WMS to conduct order queries, track order status, and manage order exceptions.
- Analyze the root causes of order issues based on business needs, and coordinate with warehouses, LSE, product teams, or relevant operations teams to support issue investigation and resolution.
- When necessary, assist with order cancellation, status synchronization, or other exception‑handling actions in accordance with standard operating procedures and business judgment, ensuring timely follow‑up and issue closure.
- Assist in compiling and delivering daily FBT operational reports.
- Monitor core operational KPIs, identify data anomalies and abnormal business trends, issue risk alerts, and conduct preliminary root cause analysis to support data‑driven decision‑making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and available to attend a full‑time internship for a minimum of 12 weeks.
- Able to work onsite 5 days per week and comfortable spending over 40% of working time at warehouses around Birmingham.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; familiar with Excel, including pivot tables, LOOKUP / INDEX / MATCH functions, or equivalent tools.
- Eager to work in a cross‑functional, fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and respond to issues in a clear and timely manner.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, with the ability to follow up on tasks independently until closure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel, quickly identify priorities, and elevate proactively when facing uncertainty, blockers, or issues beyond one’s control.
Preferred Qualifications
- Positive and solution‑oriented mindset, with the ability to proactively identify problems and seek practical solutions.
- Resilient, with the ability to handle stakeholder or customer frustration with empathy while staying objective and solution‑focused.
- Detail‑oriented and thoughtful, with the ability to consider risks, dependencies, and next steps when driving task execution.
