Magnet Expert is a specialist technical and e-commerce business supplying magnetic solutions to industry, manufacturing, education and trade customers across the UK and beyond. Our e-commerce arm, FIRST4MAGNETS, is one of the UK’s most established magnet retailers, while Magnet Expert supports customers with more technical, consultative solutions.
We’re now looking for a Sales Manager to lead commercial performance across Magnet Expert and FIRST4MAGNETS. This is not a purely managerial role. We’re looking for someone who leads from the front, commercially sharp, confident on the phone, and comfortable converting technical enquiries into real business.
Responsibilities
- You’ll take responsibility for driving sales performance day to day, while leading and developing an established inbound sales team.
- A core part of the role is being personally active in sales:
- Handling and converting high-value and technical enquiries
- Proactively driving ferrous contamination removal and separation solutions
- Supporting customers through consultative, problem-solving sales conversations
- Develop and execute sales and commercial strategy
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of inbound sales executives
- Set the tone for pace, professionalism and commercial urgency
- Ensure enquiries, quotes and opportunities are followed through properly
- Work closely with marketing, operations and product teams to align activity
- Build momentum through both inbound demand and proactive outbound activity
Qualifications
- You’ll likely be someone who:
- Has experience leading sales in a technical, industrial or e-commerce environment
- Is confident selling solutions, not just products
- Enjoys being on the phone and involved in deals personally
- Can balance personal sales performance with team leadership
- Is organised, commercially minded and comfortable being accountable for results
- Experience with magnets, separation systems or industrial equipment is helpful, but not essential; commercial capability and attitude matter most.
