Salary: £45K (inc OTE)

Ellis Mack Recruitment is working with one of Scotland's leading Restaurants with Rooms, which has a 5-Star grading from both Visit Scotland and the AA, as well as 3 AA Rosettes for food. It prides itself on being at the forefront of the Scottish Hospitality Industry and is looking to recruit a high-quality, standards-driven Sous Chef.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • In the head chef's absence, take responsibility for the kitchen department, food cost, ordering, food and health and safety.
  • Day-to-day support for the head chef in carrying out all duties required.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared with attention to detail and to the highest standard, ensuring company specifications are met at all times.
  • Manage the kitchen brigade, motivate the team, and share knowledge, training and developing chefs within the team.
  • Menus include à la carte, daily specials, and the dishes allow you the opportunity to showcase some of the best local food producers who share the passion for great local and seasonal products.

Skills/Experience:

  • You must be passionate about food and delivering amazing hospitality to our guests.
  • You must be organised, an excellent communicator, and a hands-on manager with excellent attention to detail.
  • Similar quality restaurant experience is required, and an excellent knowledge of food is essential.
