Ellis Mack is currently working with this Luxury 4 Star Hotel located in the Scottish Highlands. An excellent opportunity for a hard-working chef that is passionate about food and all things from the sea and Scotland's larder.
This position will suit a chef that has a proven track record in high-volume hotels or multi-faceted restaurant operations at a 4/5 star standard and delivering targets set within the kitchen budget including labour, food margins and sales.
As banqueting head chef, you will be responsible for the kitchen operation under the executive chef and as such you will be expected to deliver a profitable kitchen operation within this busy hotel that has a fantastic reputation.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility of the food offer.
- Ensure that all menu dishes are prepared with attention to detail and to the highest standard.
- Manage the kitchen brigade, motivate the team and share knowledge, training and developing chefs within the team.
- Report directly to the Executive Chef and work closely with the General Manager.
- Showcase some of the best local food producers who share their passion for great local and seasonal products.
Skills/Experience:
- Passionate about food and delivering amazing hospitality to our guests, for up to 750 covers at a time.
- Organised, an excellent communicator, a hands-on chef with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience of working in a similar quality hotel 4 or 5 star operation is required.
- Excellent knowledge of food is necessary.
- Head Chefs must have passion for hospitality, commitment and dedication.
- Minimum - current intermediate food hygiene certificate.
