This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stylish, food-led operation from day one, working alongside an experienced Head Chef to help establish a high-performing kitchen brigade. The venue will showcase fresh, contemporary cuisine in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, making it an ideal opportunity for a passionate Sous Chef looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen.
  • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Help maintain exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across every service.
  • Supervise, motivate and develop junior chefs, creating a positive team culture.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, stock rotation and minimising waste.
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are consistently achieved.
  • Contribute to menu development, seasonal specials and continuous improvement of the food offering.
  • Monitor kitchen performance to help achieve labour, food cost and gross profit targets.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Be an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to progress.
  • Have experience within a quality fresh-food restaurant, premium bar or contemporary dining operation.
  • Be passionate about producing high-quality food using fresh ingredients.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and enjoy mentoring and developing others.
  • Be organised, calm under pressure and capable of leading a busy kitchen service.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistently high standards.
  • Have a stable work history with a genuine ambition to progress within a growing hospitality business.
