We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Lawyer within our Business Services Department based at our Charminster office. The role involves a wide range of commercial work e.g. Terms and Conditions, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Privacy Policies, Non-Disclosure Agreements, B2B and B2C Contracts, Hire Agreements and non-contentious IP work.

The Candidate: This role will suit a Commercial Lawyer with 2-4 years PQE.
Main Responsibilities:- Process instructions in accordance with established procedures of both good practice and the firm’s quality standards.
- Deliver quality professional services to clients.
- Undertake fee earning work to high standards of accuracy and efficiency under the supervision of the Partners.
- Effect financial controls for matters under his/her supervision.
- Develop new clients and markets and maintain and build upon existing client relationships.
- Participate in marketing activities and maintain appropriate professional relationships with referrers etc.
- To undertake any training as directed to ensure that required skills remain in line with the Firm's requirements.
- Any additional duties as may reasonably be required.
- Assist team in achieving fee earning targets.
- Delivering a quality service (Measures: client complaints, file reviews, audits).
- Development of New Business (Measures: new clients to the firm).
- Adopt Conduct and Procedures in accordance with the office manual (Measures: file reviews, auditor’s reports, feedback from other staff/Partners, client feedback).
- Thorough knowledge and appropriate current qualification (as applicable) in the appropriate area of law.
- High standard of written and spoken English.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Must be able to work as a team.
- Adaptability and flexibility.
- Ability to use initiative essential.
Salary: Dependent upon skills and competencies.
