We are working with an established and highly respected professional services firm to help them find an Associate Director of Tax - someone who is confident providing strategic tax advice and building trusted client relationships at a senior level. This is a key role within the business, suited to someone with in-depth UK tax experience who is looking to step into a leadership position, contribute to high-value planning work, and continue developing in a people-first culture.
What the role involves:
- You will be working closely with the Managing Director and senior colleagues to deliver clear, practical advice to a diverse client base.
- Your focus will be on UK tax matters across:
- Capital gains
- Estate and inheritance tax
- Property and remuneration planning
- Business restructures and succession planning
- Lead on complex advisory work and HMRC interactions
- Collaborate across departments to align tax advice with wider business strategies
- Spot planning opportunities, identify risk, and support with audits or investigations
- Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and clients on all things tax
- Support the growth of the tax advisory function in a collaborative, values-led environment
What we are looking for:
- A professional qualification (CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA)
- Strong UK tax knowledge - both compliance and planning
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses or private clients
- A proactive, detail-led approach and confidence managing multiple projects
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
