Role Description
The Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems in commercial, healthcare, and controlled environments.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine servicing, fault finding, and performance checks, ensuring systems operate efficiently and in line with safety and regulatory standards.
The role involves working closely with clients and site managers to plan and carry out work with minimal disruption, accurately documenting all work undertaken, and supporting planned preventative maintenance schedules.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in London, requiring regular travel to client locations within London and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in air conditioning and HVAC installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles related to Heating, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Relevant technical qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a closely related field.
- Up-to-date industry certifications (e. g., F-Gas certification) and familiarity with HTM and related regulatory standards.
- Ability to work safely in acute healthcare and other controlled environments, following strict site procedures and risk assessments.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, colleagues, and site managers, with clear and accurate reporting of work completed.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage own workload, and adapt to changing priorities on-site.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites in London and the home counties.
