Crypto Intelligence Engineer

Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build software tools to improve and enhance our intelligence collection and analysis efforts. Examples of such tools range from compiled build-and-load programs up to browser extensions and web applications.
- Develop software to analyse and interpret cryptocurrency usage behaviours and trends on the clear and dark web
- Implement observability mechanisms (we use DataDog) to detect problems in your environment(s), and run the associated business processes to resolve
- Work with the existing engineers on your team to foster their growth and development, and facilitate best practices, through mentoring and coaching
- Be highly opinionated about the engineering strategy of your team, and a key contributor to the same.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Have a passionate interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchains and their usage (both from a technical and economic perspective) in the real-world
- Demonstrably great coding skills in at least one language and the proven ability to engineer good solutions
- Have increased operational efficiency by integrating disparate systems
- Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team on highly impactful problems
- Promote a positive culture of collaboration, through open and effective communication, particularly when addressing issues or raising concerns.
- Are able to form well reasoned, data driven or otherwise evidence based arguments, to influence key stakeholders across the business.
- Has 5+ years commercial experience
- Expert level in (Javascript|Typescript|Python)
- Familiar with Postgres and K8s
- Familiarity with AWS
- Has built infrastructure with Terraform
- Has worked in an intelligence collection setting
- Experience with “big data” technologies, the management of data, and data pipelines
- Familiarity with functional programming concepts
- Has run production workloads of 1000s QPS
