Position Summary
We are currently recruiting a Scenic Assistant to join our Layered Reality™ team. The Scenic Assistant is a vital role to ensure we deliver this cutting‑edge experience at the optimal level to all guests. On a weekly basis, the scenic assistant would perform planned and reactive maintenance to props, scenery, painting and all aspects of Scenic throughout the experience, ensuring the day‑to‑day operation is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Scope & Responsibilities
Working within the BOH team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimum running of our show from a scenic perspective. Responsibilities include completing site walks, maintaining props, performing scenic fixes, supporting with H&S of each set, sourcing props and materials, working alongside the Wardrobe and Technical Team, and occasional stage management duties during live periods if needed.
Background & Experience
You will be a self‑motivated, focused individual, who can work well as a solo worker, and is able to demonstrate knowledge in the use of scenic disciplines including scenic painting, prop making, prop sourcing, set dressing, scenic maintenance, basic carpentry and historical research. Experience with maintaining Scenic on a live show previously is preferred.
