Duties & Responsibilities :

Assisting the Yard Foreman with the running of the yard and managing staff

Ensuring high standards of customer service are met in the yard

Monitoring stock levels

Placement and zoning of stock

Health and safety and security
Most of the day to day job will be:

Serving customers in the yard, both manually and with a counterbalance forklift

Loading and unloading lorries
-
Receiving and storing products from suppliers and dealing with associated paperwork
Requirements:

Counterbalance forklift licence
-
Knowledge of building materials would be an advantage

Friendly and professional manner

Ability to delegate tasks to staff and lead by example
