Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team and support the successful delivery of roofing projects throughout the Southern Counties. The Role

Working alongside experienced Contracts Managers, you will gain practical experience in all aspects of roofing project management, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards. The role will involve regular travel to sites across the Southern Counties and offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of roofing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Contracts Managers in the planning, coordination and delivery of roofing projects.
  • Assist with preparing project programmes, schedules and budgets.
  • Attend site visits to monitor progress, quality and health & safety compliance.
  • Work closely with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects run efficiently.
  • Maintain project records, documentation and contract information.
  • Assist in managing project costs and resource allocation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders, providing regular project updates.
  • Support procurement activities and supplier management.
  • Assist with quality inspections to ensure work meets company and industry standards.
  • Help identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays and maintain project performance.

Requirements

Essential

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Desirable

  • Experience within roofing, construction or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of flat and pitched roofing systems.
  • Experience using project management software.
  • Understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
